Throughout the course you will explore the following:

If you choose to add an Integrated Foundation Year on this course, you will be first introduced to the fundamental principles of architecture and built environments. Your foundation year gives you the time, space and support to explore your strengths, build confidence and prepare for the demands of project-based, industry-focused learning.

On Year 1, you will explore the following:

• Materials research
• Specialist Study 1: Structure
• Specialist Study 2: Building Performance
• Specialist Study 3: Introduction to Environment and Services

On Year 2, you will immerse yourself in the concepts of urban architecture, exploring topics such as:

• Urbanism: History and Theory of the City
• Urban Intervention
• Branded Environments in the City
• Sustainable Design Performance (with integrated Work-Based Learning

Your final year focuses on your thesis and major project work, including:

• Practice-Based Thesis
• Integrated Collaborative Research
• Final Major Project 1: Design and Technology
• Final Major Project 2: Industry Portfolio

At Ravensbourne we accept a wide range of qualifications for entry onto our courses, whilst also considering the context in which they were achieved. For this course, we would usually require a GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths in addition to any of the below;

• Two A Levels at grade BBB or above
• BTEC Extended Diploma at grade DDM
• UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma
• T Level (pass or above)
• Access to Higher Education Diploma
• International Baccalaureate at grade 24 or above
• Other/Mixed qualifications equivalent to 120 UCAS Tariff points
