On our MSc Engineering Management with Industry Year, you will explore how engineering leadership connects technical expertise with strategic decision-making. This course develops your ability to manage engineering processes, evaluate system performance, and communicate complex technical insights with clarity and authority.
You will work with real organisational challenges, engineering data and evolving technologies, learning how to balance performance, risk, cost and sustainability. Through evidence-based decision-making, systems thinking and commercial awareness, you will design solutions that translate engineering insight into practical, scalable outcomes.
Through workshops, seminars, real-world case studies, live briefs and field trips on your engineering management masters you will gain valuable hands-on experience and connect with industry professionals., You’ll graduate empowered with the skills, knowledge and experience you need to thrive in the engineering management sector.
Classes are Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 9:00pm, with some evening sessions included.

Applicants should hold a higher second‑class honours degree (2:1, or equivalent non‑UK qualification) in a relevant subject, or an equivalent professional qualification in a related field. A Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Résumé must be submitted as part of the application.
Students applying directly from an undergraduate degree without professional experience must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the chosen subject area.

In order to be eligible for this course, you will need to be a competent speaker and writer of English. If you require a Student Visa you need to provide us with an IELTS or equivalent English language qualification, which demonstrates a minimum of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each sub test) or CEFR Level B2 in each component. It is important that applicants can demonstrate an aptitude for learning and continued professional development through a research-led approach.
