This pioneering course is the first of its kind worldwide to focus specifically on the international business of both film and television - equipping you with the commercial acumen and strategic thinking demanded by a rapidly evolving industry.

You will explore each stage of the value chain, from development and financing through production, distribution and exhibition. This film business course's curriculum spans theatrical releases, streaming platforms, linear broadcasting and emerging digital ecosystems, giving you a comprehensive understanding of how screen content reaches audiences across the world.

You will gain a clear grasp of how projects are developed, financed and brought to market, and how shifting business models - particularly in distribution and revenue generation - are reshaping the industry. This includes analysing the role of theatrical box office, the impact of Prints and Advertising (P&A) spend, and the subscription and advertising‑driven models that underpin contemporary television.

This film production course also deepens your understanding of global markets, enabling you to compare how film and TV industries operate across different regions. You will examine how marketing, sales and distribution strategies connect screen works with their audiences, and how major festivals, markets and awards influence visibility, financing and long‑term success - especially for independent productions.
