Accommodation

Most students start looking 3–6 months before the academic year begins. As Ravensbourne is based in London, accommodation costs are at a premium so it’s best to start early to secure the best locations and prices.

Most student accommodation options include:

• Utilities (water, electricity, gas)
• Wi-Fi
• Maintenance
• Furniture

Some private rentals may charge extra for these, so always double-check your contract.

Our partners provide fully furnished accommodation, but you’ll need to bring your own bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, and personal items. Some students also bring small appliances such as kettles or toasters - just make sure they meet safety standards and are allowed in your residence.

If you decide to rent privately, you have the option to rent a fully furnished, partly furnished, or unfurnished apartment based on your needs and preferences.

If you have further questions or just need some help with one of our partners, you can reach out to our Accommodation team at [email protected].

You can call to find out what protections should be in place and what to do if something does not seem right.

Please note this helpline is for students renting through a letting agent and covers client money questions only. It does not provide legal or general tenancy advice.

We have partnered with Housing Hand, the UK's leading guarantor service, and arranged a preferential price for all UK and International Ravensbourne University students. This is the equivalent to 5.5% of annual rent on a subscription basis or 5% of annual rent when paid as an upfront fee.

To find out more about the service and to submit your application, visit the dedicated Ravensbourne University link on the Housing Hand website.
