Most students start looking 3–6 months before the academic year begins. In popular student cities like London, it’s best to start early to secure the best locations and prices.

Most student accommodation options include:

• Utilities (water, electricity, gas)
• Wi-Fi
• Maintenance
• Furniture

Some private rentals may charge extra for these, so always double-check your contract.

Our partners provide fully furnished accommodation, but you’ll need to bring your own bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, and personal items. Some students also bring small appliances such as kettles or toasters - just make sure they meet safety standards and are allowed in your residence.

If you decide to rent privately, you have the option to rent a fully furnished, partly furnished, or unfurnished apartment based on your needs and preferences.

The Citizen's Advice Bureau is also on hand to help you with university housing and/or living in rented accommodation.

We have partnered with Housing Hand, the UK's leading guarantor service, and arranged a preferential price for all UK and International Ravensbourne University students. This is the equivalent to 5.5% of annual rent on a subscription basis or 5% of annual rent when paid as an upfront fee.
