BSc (Hons) Creative Computing

BSc (Hons) Creative Computing is new to our undergraduate portfolio. If you are looking for a degree that bridges creativity and technical skills such as computer coding, app development, and machine intelligence then this course could be for you.

This degree programme, celebrating digital creativity, has been designed to prepare you for a career as a technology-led creative in various fields such as education, healthcare, engineering, and fashion.

What you
need to know

Entry requirements

Students will normally be expected to possess five GCSEs (grade C/level 4 or above) or equivalent (including English) and also to hold at least one of the below or equivalent UK or international qualifications.

  • 2 A levels, grade C or above
  • AS levels, grade C or above
  • 2 vocational A levels, grade C or above
  • Level 3 Foundation Diploma or National Diploma
  • Advanced Diploma, grade C or above
  • International Baccalaureate, 24 points or above
  • International students will be required to have IELTS with an overall score of 5.5 or above, or TOEFL with an overall score of 72 or above.

Course structure

You will learn through a combination of practical workshops and class-based learning. You’ll be assessed through artefacts, projects and presentations which may be combined with some coursework.

Optional placement year
After your second year, you are able to choose to undertake an optional work placement year in the digital technology industry.

Year 3: Creative computing pathway

In this pathway you will gain knowledge of skills that are very much in demand and combine creative flair with a technical grounding. These skills include interactive systems, web and mobile technologies, digital art and multimedia streaming.

Year 3: Immersive technology pathway
