Ravensbourne students designed for Nike Jordan in Obama Foundation collaboration

November 2022

Students from Ravensbourne University London and My Brother's Keeper, part of the Obama Foundation, collaborated to create a multi-platform creative campaign for the iconic Nike Jordan basketball brand. The students’ concepts and designs were displayed on a full-size basketball court, with two basketball teams wearing custom jerseys designed by the students.

Ravensbourne BA (Hons) Fashion Accessory and Textiles Futures graduate Edwina Arthur won a New Designers Award for her innovative footwear celebrating black women and empowering black voices. She won a two-month paid placement at Pentland as part of her prize.

Product Design students found success in awards competitions

July 2022

Our BA (Hons) Product Design students had a bumper year at awards ceremonies this summer, taking home prizes in multiple international and UK competitions. Three students won awards at the PIDA UK competition, the UK branch of a global contest that holds competitions in Europe, America, and Asia. Three of our second-year students also won silver awards in the Starpack Students competition.

A fashion graduate designed outfits for the Bridgerton brothers

April 2022

Ravensbourne BA (Hons) Fashion graduate Ifeanyi Okwuadi designed outfits for Luke Thompson and Luke Newton, perhaps better known to viewers as Benedict and Colin Bridgerton. The designs were part of an official collaboration between Netflix and the British Fashion Council to celebrate the recent launch of the hit show’s second season.

Our student designed Kopparberg’s first ever limited-edition bottles

March 2022

Kopparberg’s hugely popular flavoured ciders received their first ever limited-edition makeover, using designs created by Ben McKay, a second-year Ravensbourne BA (Hons) Advertising and Brand Design student. They were available in supermarkets, pubs, bars, and restaurants nationwide over the spring and summer.

A Ravensbourne graduate’s film was nominated for a BAFTA

March 2022

A documentary edited by a Ravensbourne BA (Hons) Editing and Post Production graduate was nominated for a BAFTA, while two other documentaries edited by Ravensbourne graduates were longlisted. Tim Beeston, who graduated in 2014, was the editor for ‘Keyboard Fantasies’, a film that explores the philosophies and impact of transgender musician Glenn Copeland.
