Dr John Taylor BSc, PhD, CMath, FIMA, SFHEA

John is a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a Chartered Mathematician with over 35 years’ experience of higher education including 18 years as Head of School or Department in three universities. He has taught higher education at a variety of universities in the UK, Jamaica and the USA.

John has led schools and departments including computing, mathematics, engineering, games, broadcast media, architecture and product design.

John's original research was in algebraic topology but he subsequently developed interest and expertise in diagrammatic reasoning. This work explored the question of what information can be repesented in diagrams what inferences can be drawn from diagrammatic representations.
