  4. Develop games for mobile, indie and AAA console games
  5. Apply skills across mainstream programming and gameplay programming
  6. Develop a deep technical knowledge to propel you in your future career
  7. Develop a skillset encompassing scripting, content generation, AI and networking and multiplayer.

No prior coding experience is required. This four-year computer games programming degree gives you the skills and confidence to succeed in the competitive games industry. Working alongside game artists and designers, you will build strong knowledge of game engines and programming architecture.

You will gain industry-ready programming skills, learn to tackle creative technical challenges, and develop the confidence to work both independently and in collaborative teams.

Throughout the BSc (Hons) Games Programming pathway, you’ll be introduced to core programming languages (C++ and C#), major game engines (Unreal and Unity), and specialist areas such as scripting, procedural content generation and artificial intelligence (AI).

Collaborative projects, game jams and industry engagement are key parts of your learning. You will master game technologies and apply professional tools to create games for mobile, indie and AAA console platforms.
