Ravensbourne University London joins PRME – the UN-supported network for responsible management education

Publication date:

Ravensbourne University London has joined the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative as a signatory member to demonstrate its dedication to sustainable education and ethical leadership throughout all academic programmes and operational activities.

Although PRME is aimed at the support of sustainable management learning worldwide, Ravensbourne has opted to sign up to it at university-wide level because it recognises the important role of creative, business, and technology disciplines in shaping a sustainable future.

Christoph quote

Founded in 2007, PRME is an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, and it currently has more than 880 institutions across 90 countries, forming what is known to be the largest organised relationship between the UN and management-related higher education. This is largely underpinned by the seven principles, which include Purpose, Values, Teach, Research, Partner, Practice, and Share.

As a PRME signatory member, Ravensbourne will gain access to a global ecosystem of tools, expertise and collaborative opportunities. This includes PRME Working Groups, PRME Chapters, faculty development resources, global research networks, and opportunities for students to join PRME Students, an initiative that connects sustainability-focused student organisations around the world.

PRME will enable students to enhance their global perspective and establish connectivity with other learners who share similar interests. Faculty members will also benefit by learning and leveraging case studies, as well as participating in global collaborations on various emerging topics affecting business and society.

Ravensbourne University London is pleased to be a member of the PRME global community and looks forward to playing a part in working towards the common goal of changing management education and promoting sustainable development.
