Ravensbourne University London celebrates June 2025 graduation

Ravensbourne University London celebrated the graduation of its summer 2025 graduates, with a ceremony held on 30 June to honour their hard work and achievements.
The ceremony recognised graduates from a range of postgraduate programmes, each of whom now takes their next steps into dynamic, fast-moving industries equipped with specialist knowledge and real-world experience.
Jon Kingsbury quote
Our postgraduate students have not only chosen to deepen their knowledge and mastery in their fields, but have done so with passion, rigour and originality. Their decision to pursue further study reflects an extraordinary commitment to personal and professional growth.”
This year’s summer graduates included students from the Master of Business Administration (MBA), MSc Computer Science, MSc Cyber Security, MSc Cyber Security Management, MSc Digital Marketing, MSc Project Management, MA Design Communication, MA Design Management, and MA Luxury Brand Management courses.
Damilare Abiola Ogunfeitimi quote
The teaching at Ravensbourne is brilliant. The lecturers build great relationships with students — they know your name, ask how you’re doing, and care about your life and your career. They don’t just teach — they also offer advice and guidance, including tips and even insights into living and working across the world.”
The ceremony took place at the Barbican Centre in the City of London, and was attended by family, friends, faculty, and industry leaders who came together to mark this important academic milestone.
In a proud first for Ravensbourne, this year’s graduation saw the ceremonial mace make its official debut, symbolising the university’s authority and heritage. The mace was carried at the front of the academic procession by the Ravensbourne alumna who designed it — Product Design graduate Anna Eerdmans.

Included in the event was the presentation of an Honorary Doctorate to Karen Blackett CBE, CEO of Group M. Her address to the graduates offered timely advice on resilience, creativity, and the power of representation across the creative, technology and business industries.

Karen quote
I always think it is such a joy to see everyone's hard work culminate today and watch everybody be so happy and celebrating — that's infectious to be part of. It's also vital that people can see what they can achieve from very normal backgrounds, so being recognised for the work that you love and enjoy seems really important.”
As part of the ceremony, Ravensbourne was proud to confer professorships on five distinguished members of its academic community. The new titles recognise their exceptional contributions to teaching, research, and university life.
Honoured on the day were:
- Dr Shaun Borstrock, Professor of Luxury and Consumer Culture
- Dr Chi Maher, Professor of Public Policy, Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management
- Dr Christos Manolas, Professor of Audio Production and Technology
- Dr Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, Professor of Marketing and Sustainable Fashion
- Dr Tracey Tattersall, Professor of Learning Innovation and Applied Psychology (awarded the title in absentia)
The graduation ceremony reflected Ravensbourne’s ongoing mission to create bold new thinkers who skilfully blend the creative, technology and business expertise that modern employers demand.
