If you choose to add an Integrated Foundation Year on this course, you will start with an introduction to the fundamental principles of studying and working in the creative industries. Your foundation year gives you the time, space and support to explore your strengths, build confidence and prepare for the demands of project-based, industry-focused learning.

Please note: Students starting this course with the Integrated Foundation Year in September 2026/27 will study the 2027/28 approved modules in Years 1, 2 and 3.

Year 1

You will be introduced to modules in operations and management, as well as business finance, to enable you to gain a deeper understanding of the principles of business practice at an introductory level.  

You will learn how strategy is incorporated at management level, to support the business and functional operations of an organisation.

Year 2

In your second year, you’ll develop the ability to identify, critically evaluate and apply theories of global business practice. You’ll also have the opportunity to complete a work-based learning placement or professional project.

• Entrepreneurism
• Professional Life Practice - Applying your Practice
• Work-Based Learning

Year 3

Your final year brings everything together. You’ll apply your knowledge to solve real-world business problems, conducting in-depth research that culminates in a professional-standard project. You’ll finish your business management degree in a collaborative environment - working together with students from your own and other subjects.This will enable you to deepen your understanding of business functions and company growth, while building an entrepreneurial network to support your next steps.

Year 1

Year 1 introduces operations, management, and business finance - building a solid grounding in core business principles and exploring how strategy shapes organisational decision-making at management level.

• Markets, Customers and Sales Practice
• Digital Literacies and Creative Skills
• Professional Effectiveness for Managers & Entrepreneurs (Employability)

Year 2

Year 2 develops your ability to critically evaluate and apply global business theories - alongside the opportunity to complete a work placement or professional project.

Year 3

Final year brings everything together, applying your knowledge to real-world business challenges through in-depth research and a professional-standard project. Collaborate across subjects to deepen your understanding of business growth and build an entrepreneurial network for life after graduation.

• Global and Creative Strategy in Practice

• Individual Project: Dissertation, Industry or Work-Based Research Project

All modules are subject to revalidation.

At Ravensbourne we accept a wide range of qualifications for entry onto our courses, whilst also considering the context in which they were achieved. For this course, we would usually require a GCSE Grade 4 or above in English in addition to any of the below;

• Three A Levels at grade BCC or above
• BTEC Extended Diploma at grade DMM
• UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma
• T Level (pass or above)
• Access to Higher Education Diploma
• International Baccalaureate at grade 24 or above
• Other/Mixed qualifications equivalent to 104 UCAS Tariff points
