Dr Banita Lal BSc, MSc, PhD, PGCHE

Prior to joining Ravensbourne University London in January 2026, Banita worked at a number of UK higher education institutions. She has significant academic and senior leadership experience, most recently serving as Director of Academic Development and Student Experience at the School of Management at the University of Bradford.

Banita has also held a range of other leadership roles, including Director of Alumni, and Course Leader at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across several institutions.

Banita has a keen interest in learning, teaching and quality enhancement. Her teaching interests have evolved from business information systems to sustainability and responsible business. Her research interests lie in the area of IT adoption from both business and employee perspectives, particularly in relation to how IT transforms the meaning of work.
