Ravensbourne University London students help bring history to life in new Battle of Trafalgar podcast

Publication date:

Ravensbourne University London students have played a key role in the production of ‘Great Battles – Trafalgar’, a new podcast series produced in partnership with Towton Audio.

The production, led by Ravensbourne lecturers James Hynes (Music and Sound Production) and John Paul Chapple (Digital Film Production) while being recorded on campus, features Professor Matthew Hughes of Brunel University in conversation with Cambridge University history graduate, Ella Blackburn. It will be released on October 21 to coincide with the 220th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, as part of a wider launch of the Towton Audio brand later this year.

The collaboration also extended beyond the studio. Earlier this year, students Sam Steele and Abdal Hussein joined the Towton team at ‘The Podcast Show’ in the Business Design Centre, Islington, London, where Sam was interviewed alongside James Hynes about their experience working on the project.

Ravensbourne University London is incredibly proud to support projects such as this podcast series, which gives students the access to real world briefs, insights and opportunities that equip them for future success in their chosen industries.
