Next generation of talent celebrated at Ravensbourne University London’s October Graduation

Family, friends, faculty and industry leaders came together at London’s iconic Barbican Centre on Monday 20 October to celebrate Ravensbourne University London’s latest cohort of graduates.

Students from each of the University’s creative, technology and business disciplines were honoured across two ceremonies celebrating their achievements. Having spent the last three years studying at Ravensbourne with state-of-the-art facilities and industry-level insights, these graduates are now prepared to take their next exciting steps beyond higher education and into their chosen fields.

I’ve been heavily influenced by my lecturer, Cesar Peluso. I currently live in the US doing film production and now I’m transitioning from business management and using my skills over there, seeing how things go and seeing how I can get to different places, within the film industry and in production.”
Grads
Graduates celebrated in the Barbican’s trademark brutalist surroundings. Fittingly, it was the spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration which best characterised this cohort of graduates’ experiences at the University.

Something I really value about Ravensbourne is the collaboration, for sure. It's a course where things are so intertwined. Whatever course you do, there's someone in another course that can help. If you're trying to build something, whether it’s a music video because you make music or you want to make a film or you need animators or whatever. There's so many people with so many skills.”
The afternoon ceremony also welcomed Anna Rigoli of The Thomas Saunders Partnership (TTSP), who was awarded with an Honorary Fellowship for her advocacy of emerging talent in the architectural industry. Her role as the leader of TTSP’s mentoring programme in particular has seen her provide monumental levels of support and guidance to Ravensbourne students aspiring to enter the architectural sector.
