Take a break with Michelle Wenham

Publication date:

Join us as we sit down with members of the Ravensbourne community to hear about what they're up to, what they enjoy doing in their free time, and - most importantly - what is their favourite break-time snack?

Hi there! What is your name and role at Ravensbourne?

Hello I’m Michelle Wenham, Interim Director of People and Culture.

It’s time for a coffee break! What’s your go-to drink or snack?

Definitely a double shot cappuccino and a really fresh pastry.

What’s the best part of the role?

Constantly thinking about and working with our people – how can we improve their experience including personal and professional development opportunities at work, which in turn benefits our students.

What does a typical day in the office look like for you?

I joined only in early March so still in the honeymoon induction phase but balancing many meetings, committees, one to ones and writing papers and planning for said meetings.

How do you like to unwind and de-stress?

I’m afraid I like to shop and I have also recently taken up pilates which remains a work in progress.

What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?

Manage your career yourself - don’t just let it happen to you.
