Find out about the recommended laptops for your course.
The specifications listed here are recommendations, to ensure you can thrive and succeed for the full duration of your course.
Whilst the specifics are only recommended, having a laptop to support your studies is a requirement – particularly in the age of online and remote learning where you may not always be on campus for your teaching and learning.
We strongly advise conducting your own research into the best machines for your course, whilst taking into consideration affordability and performance.
We will start to invite students to enrol online from Monday 22 August.
If you are having issues enrolling online, there will be an option to enrol in person on campus.
There will be a daily in-person enrolment option available during Welcome Week. This will be on the 4th floor between the hours of 9am to 10.30am and 12.30pm to 2pm.
There will be staff from the Registry, IT, Finance and Student Services teams available to help.
Required documents for UK and Irish nationals: You must provide proof of identity – either your passport, driving license, government issued photocard or birth certificate.
Please note: if your driving licence states that your place of birth was outside the UK or Ireland, you will need to provide your passport.
Required documents for international students: You must show your valid passport and a valid visa. Your visa should cover the full length of your course of study.
If you are not a national of the UK or Ireland, you will be required to show evidence that you have a valid visa, residence permit, settled status or immigration document that permits you to study at Ravensbourne University London. For more details follow this link.
You may also be required to provide proof of academic qualifications – original certificates, a transcript of results or a confirmation of award letter, stamped and signed by the institution (if the original documents have not been checked on application).
Your account details will be sent to you once we have checked your completed online enrolment task, this is usually 24 hours after you have completed the online enrolment task.
Once you have completed the enrolment task and received your student email address, which you will need to activate, you will gain access to the timetable platform to see your classes after 48 hours. If you are an access, foundation or undergraduate student, your class timetable will be available from Wednesday 6 September, once you have fully enrolled / re-enrolled. If you are a postgraduate student, your class timetable will be available at a later date.
We strongly encourage students to attend Welcome week to experience in-depth introductions to your course and university departments which are essential during your student journey.
