Concept and creative process
Titles for ‘Watch’, the Schools series for 5-7-year-olds, which was followed by ‘Time Treasures’, looking at periods of history and historical figures. The titles were an amusing inspirational collection of faces made out of found objects, fruits, shells, nuts and bolts – in fact any artefact that came to hand – animated and filmed on a rostrum camera. The eye was formed in the same way but with a 3D model of the World decorated with small objects, rotated and filmed stop-frame. The quick animated blink revealed the ‘Watch’ logo. A Big Bang animation segues to ‘Time Treasures’ and the 1953 coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
