Tomorrow's World - 500th Programme (1978)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for the 500th edition of ‘Tomorrow’s World’, a long-running series which looked at recent developments in technology as well as future trends. The titles were a split screen compilation of excerpts from title sequences and programme content stretching back over the 30 years of the programme’s existence. Presented by William Woollard, Judith Hann and Michael Rodd, the 500th anniversary programme broke the mould and speculated only on everyday aspects of the distant future.
