Tea Party (1965)

Concept and creative process

'Tea Party' was a Harold Pinter drama concerning sexual indiscretion involving the manager of a toilet company. For the title sequence Bernard Lodge made a montage of close-up live action, teleprinters, taps, phones, cleavage and stills, cut to a sound track of mechanical sounds which he had also created himself.
