Concept and creative process
This title sequence for the drama series 'Spender' has a cinematic quality, inspired by 'affichiste' artists like Jacques Villeglé's torn collaged works made from actual street posters. The titles and credits were arranged as if part of a large billboard poster site. A continuous speed panning shot of the collaged artwork, depicting the environmental setting for the stories, the main actor and the production credits, alternates between close-up titles and a wide shot of the whole background. Live action shots of traffic and passers-by are composited in a seamless digital edit to make the whole montage appear to be an actual billboard in situ.
