Titles for 'Softly Softly', the long-running, regional crime squad drama series whose brief was the investigation of the criminal - not the crime. The bold graphic shape of the specially designed series logo was used as a means to combine panning shots of textured surfaces with the interplay of light and shadow. These were filmed on a rostrum camera, with a matte of the title logo. Close-up live action shots of a detective talking were edited together with the rostrum shots and combined using the logo matte in a film optical.
