Concept and creative process
Mark Curry, Cheryl Baker and Gary Davies present ‘The Saturday Picture Show’, a live children's programme featuring cartoons, adventure serials, pop groups, videos and competitions. Mark Allen, the title sequence designer, made good use of the rostrum camera light-scan technique to dramatically enhance the programme logo in the opening space-themed animation and to create the coloured ray backgrounds for the vignettes showcasing the production footage.
