Concept and creative process
A nightly news programme with Robin Day as the anchorman. A simple line drawing portrait of Robin Day and the specially designed logo are animated in three separate colourways which pan into shot simultaneously from north, east and west before coalescing briefly in the centre of the screen as the camera zooms in to close-up. A rostrum camera shoot animated the artwork using the directional panning facilites of the animation stand, with each colourway on a separate cel panning simultaneously in from the different directions.
