Concept and creative process
I wanted the titles to look like a trick. I stood in front of the camera and did the tearing action myself. I filmed the whole sequence starting with the complete title caption, and then reversed the film so it is actually running backwards, ending with the title on screen. Finally the balled up title caption is swapped for a sheet of blue to enable the opening studio shot to be inserted via colour separation overlay (CSO).
