Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a 1981 educational production in the 'Look and Read' series. The sequence begins with the generic identity of the ‘Look and Read’ strand, two eyes created out of the two ‘o’s in ‘Look’. A specially shot still photographic sequence follows, filmed entirely on a rostrum camera to cues and timings taken from the lyrics of the accompanying title song about ‘Dark Towers’. The storyline concerned the mission of the two main characters to stop a group of thieves from stealing the treasures of Dark Towers.
