Concept and creative process
A finger puppet show for the very young shown in the ‘Watch with Mother’ slot, created by Joanne and Michael Cole, using basic materials for the fingerbob of the day to create new objects with by the end of the show. Only 13 episodes were made and were so popular that they aired regularly from 1972 until 1984. The opening introduction to Fingermouse, Scampi and Flash the Tortoise was a constant factor in each show, before the presenter Yoffy got down to making something with the help of the fingerbobs.
