Concept and creative process
I was given great creative freedom for this generic title sequence for 'The Commanders', a biographical documentary series of famous World War Two commanders. I portrayed the Commanders by means of close-ups of international military regalia, medals, stripes, equipment etc., contrasted with short bursts of library war footage. The greatest pleasure was to be able to choose the music sound track too, Stravinsky's Symphony in 3 Movements - 1. Allegro. This was one of my favourites, fitted the images and built to the climax brilliantly.
