Opening titles by Darrell Pockett for live action satellite coverage of the 1982 XII Commonwealth Games from Brisbane Australia. He created a computer animated sequence of the tricolour ribbon and gold medal, with high contrast live action sports footage composited onto the medal’s surface. The ribbon animation rounds the sequence off after the black space, left for the insertion of the latest footage from the Games.
