The International Year One route helps you settle into UK university life while studying core Computer Science modules from the start. You will learn to program, understand networks, explore cyber security and cloud computing, and begin developing the skills needed for software development and technical problem solving.

Entry requirements

At Ravensbourne, we accept a wide range of qualifications and consider the context in which they were achieved. For BSc (Hons) Computer Science with International Year One, you will usually need GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above, as well as a Level 3 STEM subject, in addition to one of the following:

  • Two A Levels at grade BC or above
  • BTEC Extended Diploma at grade MMP
  • UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma
  • T Level (pass or above)
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma
  • International Baccalaureate with a minimum score of 24
  • Other/mixed qualifications equivalent to 72 UCAS Tariff points

There are no interview or portfolio requirements for this course.

IELTS for visa purposes: 5.5 overall with 5.5 in each skill area (or equivalent CEFR B2 level)
