Type of room
Cass provide you with modern, contemporary single non-ensuite bedrooms at an affordable price. Beside the essentials, you will also have your own mini-fridge, washbasin and 100Mb internet in your room.
For 2020/21, Cass are holding 20 rooms for Ravensbourne students, allocated on a first come first served basis when the booking process opens in April 2020.
2019/20 prices started at £159 per week on a 39 week contract. 2020/21 prices will be released mid March.
Facilities and shared spaces
Cass offer single rooms with shared toilet and shower facilities. All rooms come with a bed, desk, clothes storage, mini-fridge and washbasin.
In your shared kitchen there are freezers, a dining table and personal lockable storage cupboards. You have broadband and Wi-Fi internet access in your room along with Wi-Fi in the rest of the building.
n the ground floor there is a large common room for you to use along with a launderette, TV room and study area.
In the back garden, there is a BBQ area, table tennis and secure bicycle storage.
Limited car parking is available at the front and rear of the building.
Cass run an in-house social programme with events such as Afternoon Tea, Film Night, Fruit Friday and Yoga.
All shared spaces including kitchens are cleaned daily, with bedrooms being cleaned every fortnight.
Location and surrounding area
Cass is located in the exciting and diverse Hackney, close to Victoria Park and the popular London Fields.
At the weekends, you can visit some of the most vibrant markets in London such as Broadway Market, Brick Lane and Colombia Road Market.
There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurant around to suit anyone’s taste. Supermarkets are on your doorstep, with a cinema and gym just a few minutes away.
Travelling to and from Uni
Located in Hackney, Cass is approx. 30-40 minutes away from Ravensbourne by public transport. The closest Overground stations are Hackney Central, Homerton and London Fields. There are 2 stops on the Overground to Stratford where you change to the Jubilee Line to North Greenwich Station for Ravensbourne University.

Securing a room
The contract is held with Sir John Cass Hall not Ravensbourne. Therefore, you have to apply directly via the Cass website to book. Please choose the code/pathway “RU2021” to secure your Ravensbourne room.
Rooms are offered out on a first come, first serve basis. The booking process will open for 2020/21 applications from April 2020.
Important: Please be advised that you will be required to pay a refundable £500 deposit. This will be before you receive any maintenance loan payments from Student Finance England (first payment is usually received end of October).
Sir John Cass will take Undergraduates who are under 18 at the start of their course but not Foundation students, this is due to the earlier course start date.
