Emily completed her BA (Hons) degree in fashion Design at the University for the Creative Arts. Upon completion Emily gained five years’ industry experience designing for a number of UK High Street brands and retailers before setting up as a freelance designer in 2011.
After her freelance work diversified into other areas including branding and trend forecasting, Emily set up her own business [K.I.D.S] ltd which offers creative support to a large number of kidswear brands and retailers worldwide. To date she has helped launch over ten kidswear brands and offers seasonal creative support to a number of major international kidswear brands.
Emily also runs a small trend publication and blog which offers an alternative and affordable trend forecasting resource aimed at other freelance designers and smaller boutique kidswear brands.
Emily’s design and industry experience led to an invitation to teach at her old university where she discovered her passion for teaching. Emily has now been teaching for five years bringing her industry knowledge and design experience to share with students. Emily specialises in teaching students how to use design programs and create and present professional industry standard projects ready for future employment.
