Andrew started his career in 1996, working as an assistant engineer in Nigel Frieda’s Matrix group of recording studios (Wessex, Little Russell Street, Maison Rouge, Studdridge Street), and became one of the company’s staff engineers.
He joined Whitfield Street/Sony Music Studios in 1999 and worked as a Pro Tools operator on a wide range of orchestral, film, and rock/pop sessions before going freelance in 2003.
For the next six years he worked as an engineer and programmer for the singer Sade, and gained writing credits on two tracks on her 2010 album, Soldier of Love.
He began teaching sound engineering and music production in 2011 and has taught at Ravensbourne since 2015.
In 2017 he graduated from University of Hertfordshire’s MSc Music and Sound Technology (Audio Engineering) programme with a distinction.
He plays drums in the Jazz quartet blueSpective.
