Abi is the owner and co-director of Rude ltd. She has 24 years experience of working in the design and advertising sector having studied graphic communications at Central Lancashire University a few moons ago. After leaving education, Abi went on to work at various design agencies in London before establishing a prolific design studio in 1998.
Rude came from a print and illustration background, which started as an urban streetwear and the eponymous brand quickly became a household name. The international success of the label led Rude into many creative collaborations with retailers such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Urban Outfitters. Soon brands wanted to be linked to Rude and this saw projects with the BBC, Sony and the National Theatre. Rude’s unique illustration style has recently received commissions for moving image for the Red Cross, Apple, and Veolias worldwide campaign.
Abi's passion for all things applied art in the design and advertising sector has seen her publish a book about running a creative studio and she is currently working on a mixed bag of projects including murals, publishing and moving image.
Abi began teaching at Ravensbourne in 2018 and her creative perspective on advertising and communication has been massively beneficial to the course.
