The Trouble with Medicine - programme inserts (1992)

Concept and creative process

Programme inserts from a series of critical films about the impact of modern medicine on our lives. The idea was to illustrate the increasing distance of human interaction and greater reliance on technology in medical diagnosis. The content graphics were a fusion of CGI animation with pen and ink illustrations by David Hughes, echoing the traditions of medical illustration with a modern twist.
