Russ Abbot (1989)

Concept and creative process

Wacky puppets, made of colourful soft materials over wire armatures, were animated stop-frame by former Royal College of Art graduates, Three Peach Animation, for the title sequence of the Russ Abbot show. They were commissioned by Bernard Heyes to make this very entertaining, lively opener for the comedy show and worked successfully together with him on other productions, such as the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures in 1990.
