Concept and creative process
Live action titles for a surreal musical adventure series which was nominated for a BAFTA Award for the most original programme/series. The girl in the mirror was Madeline Smith and John Fortune and John Wells also starred. The script was written by Producer Ian Keill, with additional contributions from John Fortune, John Wells and John Bird. Carl Davis composed the music for the songs and Andrew Gosling directed, with animations and illustrations by Graham McCallum and Bob Gale. The opening sequence set the tone for what was to come with a rhinestone encrusted mirror, revolving in shot and reflecting different eclectic images from the series back to the camera.
