Concept and creative process
Titles for a series ‘Land of the Eagle’, which dealt with the 'great encounter', around 400 years ago, between English settlers and the strange land, creatures, plants and people of coastal Virginia and North Carolina. The title sequence was composed of aerial shots of the American eagle in flight, with some post-production work in keying the eagle over different backgrounds and in particular over the model globe of North America. This became the title and logo background, with the eagle frozen in flight.
