Concept and creative process
The brief was to launch the drama series 'Holding On' by writer Tony Marchant. It was set in London and depicted the interaction between a diverse range of characters. The idea was to convey the sense of drama and growing tension through movement, capturing the sense of travelling through a tunnel on the Underground. Ahmet Ahmet and Ruth Shabi achieved the dramatic effects through a mix of graphics and specially shot material, including high speed filming of sugar thrown into the air, which created the great diffusing effect around the hand.
