Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a classic children's drama serial which portrayed life in a London mixed comprehensive school. The opening titles for this season concentrated on showing academic life and sporting prowess within the school. They were filmed in colour but graded to a gritty black and white with one spot colour element used in each cut making up the sequence. The sequence was contained within a large rectangular vignette composited over a brick wall background, which expanded to fill the frame for the main title.
