Going Going Gone (1997)

Concept and creative process

Titles for an antiques gameshow in which amateur collectors take on a celebrity panel and try to tell the genuine from the fake. The title ‘Going Going Gone’ is expressed through an analogous scenario of an auctioneer’s gavel unsuccessfully pursuing a flight of collectible flying ducks through a landscape populated with potentially genuine or fake objets d’art. The sequence was computer-generated in 3D and the programme logo is completed when the gavel strikes the sound board. A BBC Scotland production.
