Concept and creative process
‘Garden Stories ' was a quirky documentary series looking at the English obsession with gardening and the extremes to which some people go. The brief was to be lively and fun. I wanted to exploit fully the colourfulness of flowers and incorporate some of the main characters featured. I created patchworks of colour themed flowers as a means of transition between scenes. I sourced floral images and created numerous colour themed wipes and mattes. I grabbed static images of gardening gloves, trowels etc. and edited the whole sequence digitally.
