Eleventh Hour (1975)

Concept and creative process

Titles for a live drama series, whose plots were sourced from stories in the week's news. It was called 'Eleventh Hour' because each play was written, cast, rehearsed, designed and broadcast live in 6 days - all very last minute, a fact reflected in the concept of the titles. Torn paper newsprint was hand animated under the rostrum camera to make the title in a seemingly hastily improvised sequence - all carefully planned and shot to the soundtrack.
