The Clothes Show (1986)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for a fashion magazine series delving into the vibrant world of fashion and its industries. The designers' contribution was the opening 10 seconds and its reprise for the final few seconds before the programme got properly underway. Sandwiched between were a series of live action production shots of different catwalks and locations, emphasising the variety of fashion design and manufacturing covered by the programme. The titles consisted of stills shot on a motorised 35mm camera and filmed on a rostrum camera, with the addition of an added animated graphic coloured line and the programme logo.
