Exactly one year ago, I walked into Ravensbourne University London as a student with big dreams and quiet hopes. Fast forward to now, and I stood in front of an audience at the LaunchPad Event as a Careers Lab Ambassador, delivering my very first session. it was the most incredible feeling I have ever experienced.”
Over 150 students participated in industry workshops delivered both online and in person. They were able to gain advice and insights into career pathways across the creative, business and technology sectors.
A key highlight of the programme was the Careers Fair, which welcomed 23 employers to our campus to connect directly with students and alumni. Representatives from organisations including AllSaints, AKQA, Sky, London Filmed and Zandland attended the event, giving students the opportunity to meet hiring teams and gain actionable feedback from organisations across a wide variety of sectors.
The programme also featured an Advice Café, which provided personalised careers guidance and one-to-one support sessions. Over 20 students received personal support throughout the week on how to strengthen applications, prepare for interviews and explore future opportunities.
One of the most highly rated sessions was the CV and Job Application Workshop delivered by Careers Lab adviser, Kat Tsang. Students, in particular, praised the masterclass for its guidance on improving applications and navigating recruitment processes.
The event forms part of Ravensbourne University London's wider commitment to learning with industry and improving graduate employability, ensuring our learners have access to careers education, information, advice and guidance (CIAG) throughout their studies.
