Zig Zag (1983)

Concept and creative process

Titles for a schools programme for seven to nine-year-olds, investigating aspects of geography and history in the UK and around the world. The computer-generated sequence was created to a scenario of the letters of the ‘Zig-Zag’ logo moving along an illuminated grid of lines towards the vanishing point on the horizon line, where the logo appeared embossed out of an irregular gridded background. Flashes of light moving along the grid lines illuminated it and turned it with stroboscopic efects to full colour on a black background.
