Concept and creative process
‘Words and Pictures’ was a long-running Schools series for children aged 6-7, designed to help their reading through storytelling. The title sequence was a lively mix of drawn and cut-out characters, a plane, some balloons, a big red bus and a passing van which contrived to introduce the ‘Words and Pictures’ title in a variety of amusing ways. The sequence was composited and animated digitally.
