Concept and creative process
Titles for a chat show, hosted by Terry Wogan, featuring live studio interviews with famous and notable personalities. I commissioned Artem to build the ‘WOGAN’ logo ‘spaceship’ for a motion control shoot. The model was about 2 feet (60cm) long and had to be filmed in several passes, so that the front faces of the letters could be internally lit and turn on as it flew over the city. The city needed to be a high shot, so I got permission from the Telecom Tower to photograph London at sunset and at night, but we had to wait several weeks for the weather to clear. The final scenes were filmed on a rostrum camera to add a move in and the car headlights.
