Wildlife On One (2003)

Concept and creative process

The opening titles for a nature documentary series, narrated by David Attenborough. The concept focused on the fact that the series brought the world of wildlife vividly into the viewers’ living rooms via the TV. For the shoot, a television was set up in a studio and filmed revolving in a pool of light, and also in a separate shot with the camera tracking in from a wide shot to a close-up on the screen. These shots were then combined in a Flame digital edit with effects and stock animal footage to create the striking sequence of the animals leaping out of the TV screen.
