‘Victoria Wood’s All Day Breakfast’ was her Christmas special spoof on daytime chat shows. Sketches, stand-up comedy and songs combined to create yet another show hosted by a popular husband and wife team. There were tips on female problems, Agony Uncle Gerard's phone-in and UK's first four-times-a-day soap. The titles depicted sunrise to sunset of a background seascape with time-lapse clouds. Over this a computer-generated clock dial floated in, acting as a vignette for live action scenes of the sort of activities encouraged on the show, from flower-arranging to keeping fit. A zoom in on the top of the clock dial in sync with the music cued its rotation to bring on the show’s title.
