Concept and creative process
The sequence begins with a Christmas card drawing of a Victorian coach and horses in a decorative vignette. The camera tracks in on the scene which mixes to the arrival of a real horse-drawn coach at a grand house, where the occupants disembark. It is Christmas Eve 1874, and they are dinner guests, but unbeknown to them, someone has stolen the turkey and it falls to the Two Ronnies to find it and save the Christmas feast.
